Local Columbia High School Makes Generous Donation to the SCCA

The students of Ridge View High School's Marketing 1 course were assigned a project to use prior knowledge learned from the course to organize, create, and market a school-sponsored event. Their goal was to raise money for cancer and give the proceeds to a foundation.
On Saturday, January 21st, C.L.U.B. VIEW (Colon, Lung, Uterine, and Breast Cancer) encouraged a $5.00 donation at lunch and hosted a semi-formal dance that evening charging a $10.00 admission fee. The name of the dance was The Neon Blowout and was well-attended.
A generous donation of $904.50 was presented at the Girls Varsity Basketball game at half-time on Friday, January 27th. Rebecca Wadford, SCCA Program Officer, accepted the donation.
