SCCA Conference/Member Meeting

Block your schedule now so that you can attend the fall SCCA member meeting/conference at the Charleston Marriott on Friday, October 8, 2010. At the conference, you will have an opportunity to take an in-depth look at what the SCCA, its partners, and its grantees have been doing to decrease the impact of cancer across the state and the resulting efforts. The SCCA promotes effective program evaluation and the utilization of "best practices" when addressing cancer priorities. One highlight of the meeting will be a town hall forum on the South Carolina Cancer Plan update, including information on how to utilize the plan to increase the effectiveness and impact of the cancer programs in your community and across the state.

Please register online for the SCCA conference by Sept. 22, 2010, for the $25 early registration discount. After Sept. 22, the fee is $35 per attendee. The registration fee can be paid online through PayPal. Other options include mailing a check to the SCCA or making a cash payment at the registration desk on the day of the conference (cash option only available when registering after Sept. 22).

More meeting information such as the agenda and keynote presentations will be added as it becomes available. A reception will be held at the Medical University of South Carolina's Hollings Cancer Center on Thursday, Oct. 7. More information to follow.
